GUERANDE MUSEUM

Furniture and local costumes - Exhibition - Access to the ramparts of the medieval city.

Saint-Mickael's gate houses a museum about Guérande and its surrounding countryside.  On three floors of the museum you will discover an incredible restoration of the Guerande of 19th century between the "Pays blanc" (White country) of the salt worker and the "Pays noir" (Black country) of the Brière inhabitants

You will find :
- famous red furniture from the salt marshes in Guérande and La Brière,
- the gallery of mannequins in traditional wedding, party, work and mourning costumes,
- the arms room exhibiting souvenirs of Guerande's National Guards, 
- archeological collections, porcelain, headdresses and bride's crowns...
- treasure from Saint Aubin collegiate.

Access to the ramparts is included in the visit of the museum.

Opening times: 10am - 12pm and 2.30pm-7pm
